The Sea 2 Skye Rally

25th September-1st October 2022

INCLUDES
TWO NIGHTS
ON SKYE

Celebrate the end of the
season with a highland
bound adventure...

WHAT IS IT?

Starting out of Dorothy's Speed Shop, we'll leave the magnificent beaches of North Devon behind and begin a five day journey north, averaging approximately 200 miles per day, taking in some of the most scenic riding roads in-between, before finally reaching journey's end on Skye.

WHEN DOES IT START?

The run will commence at 9am from the Saunton Sands beach carpark, just outside the village of Braunton, home of the Speed Shop on Sunday 25th September.

WHEN DOES IT END?

On the evening of Thursday 29th September we'll arrive on Skye, spending two nights there giving us chance to explore the island on Friday 30th September. Trip ends at check out Saturday 1st October and from there you can either head back home or go your own way exploring further north.

WHO IS IT FOR?

The ride is for people who want an adventure in a manageable time frame and with hotel accommodation adding a touch of luxury over a typical Garbage Run (tent). The main group pace will be a road legal pace and the daily distances are designed to be manageable taking in plenty of stops. The route will be scenic and avoid motorways and major roads at all opportunities. This is a run for people on their own machines although Speed Shop bikes could be rented for the trip on request.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

The full route map will be provided. Riders can choose to ride with the group or ride at their own pace, or form smallers groups centred around rider ability etc.

We'll all aim for the same pre-booked hotel on an evening and start out again the next morning. Accommodation is based on a twin/double shared basis.

HOW LONG ARE THE DAYS?

Daily mileage is between 180 and 200 miles. Total mileage for the route will be around 1000 miles, with you obviously having to factor in the mileage to North Devon and back from Skye.

WHAT WILL I NEED TO BRING?

You'll need a well serviced and reliable machine, with minimum cubic capacity of 250cc if you wish to ride with the main group. The pace won't be fast but you will be expected at times to sustain national speed limits, or, for those wishing to ride slower or on slower machines, self navigate.

HOW MUCH IS IT?
£595 per person (twin share basis)

£300 for pillion.
£795 single occupancy

WHAT'S INCLUDED?
All route maps and guides. Six nights hotel accommodation with breakfast; first night being Sunday night. Riders will need to find their own accommodation the night before the start. Hotels will be mid-range.
