If you've ever seen Ed March (www.youtube.com/@c90adventures) or Matt's Off Road Recovery (www.youtube.com/@MattsOffRoadRecovery) then you'll be more than familiar with the landscape of Utah and Colorado. Epic deserts, towering forests and endless red rock horizons. A trail riding paradise.

This is a tour that explores the best of the region, heading out of Grand Junction, Colorado on a fleet of trail bikes, with a choice of:

• Honda CRF450L 

• Kawasaki KLX300 

• Honda CRF300L

• Suzuki DRZ4S 

• CF Moto 450 MT

• Yamaha Tenere 700

 

THE RIDING:

The riding will be aimed at the casual to intermediate trail rider. Nothing too tricky but lots of it. The tour is about the sightseeing and the scenery, including several nights in Moab running circular routes back to base. Daily distances will be manageable, with approximately 6 hours in the saddle.
 

RIDER ABILITY:

Riders need to have a moderate level of trail riding experience. The terrain won't be technical and the pace won't be high, but there will be varied surfaces including light sand and gravel. Riders need to be competent in such conditions and willing to challenge themselves along the way.

WHAT'S INCLUDED:

Included in the price are the following:

• Rental bike for eight days of riding

• Accommodation on a twin share basis for 10 nights. 

• Support vehicle with mechanic, tools and spares.

• Route and navigation

• Panniers, dry bags, phone mounts (if required)

WHAT'S NOT INCLUDED:

• Flights in and out of Denver, Colorado (around £500)

• Train ticket from Denver to Grand Junction (around £100)

• Travel insurance

• Fuel, food and other travel expenses (budget between £60-£80 per day)

• Vehicle insurance (around £180)
   

BASE TERMS OF THE RENTAL:

- Riders must be 21 years of age and hold an equivalent driving licence covering them for the bike to be ridden.

- All riders need to leave a $2500 deposit on credit card for 200cc-400cc bikes and $3000 for bikes 450cc and above, which provides a maximum level of liability for the bikes.

DATES: 

Riders to fly into Denver Wednesday 30th September, travelling to Grand Junction on the Thursday 1st, with the ride beginning Friday 2nd October and ending Friday 9th October, with suggested flight home on Saturday 10th.
