A fly ride option for Morocco
Morocco is a great place to ride but it can be a hassle getting there and back in a manageable length of time.
For 2025 we trialled a fly ride option, landing in Marrakesh, with a fleet of bikes there to greet us, giving us 7 great days to roam this great country. The riding will be largely Tarmac based, with some broken road and light gravel to keep us on our toes, but this is not classed as a trail tour. We feel that there's enough excitement and quality of riding on the Tarmac to not run the higher risk on the remote trail sections. This trip will start and finish in Marrakesh (flights not included), with option to fly in on the Thursday and have Friday to settle in and explore the city's medinas, or fly in Friday, ready for the wheels rolling Saturday morning. Accommodation on a twin share basis (single upgrade available), will be included from the Friday night (20th) up to and including the night of the 27th.
There will be a choice of Royal Enfield Himalayan 411 and 450s (the latter a £200 uplift). Luggage will be carried on the bikes so pack light, with a simple 40-litre dry bag ample size for a week's clothing off the bike.
This trip would suit riders who have done some overseas riding before (although not entirely necessary as long as riders are confident), and who are keen to immerse themselves in new cultures and riding environments. Riders must be prepared to ride in hot climates and deal with the differences of everyday interactions. Riders must be aware of their own riding limitations and acknowledge that this is a tour through often remote parts of a country that doesn't have the emergency response services that we are used to. By joining on this tour, riders accept that risk and agree to the general Dorothy's Speed Shop code of conduct, which is to respect fellow riders and the communities we encounter.
This trip will challenge you, surprise you and showcase a country that is very much on the adventure bike map.
