THE DEVON DAKAR!

We have some great lanes down here in North Devon for all abilities. These days 'Scouting for Lanes' days are aimed at the adventure bike rider rather than out and out trail bike and enduro machines. Bikes like the Himalayan, Honda CRF250/300, KTM 390 Adventure, Tenere 660, etc. There are three levels available, from complete novice, to 'occasional dabbler', to 'can ride a bit'.

COMPLETE NOVICE
This is for people who have never touched dirt for the first time on two wheels, or maybe rode a C90 up a lane 50 years ago when they were a lad. The trails will be gentle, with some of the tight and twisty mud strewn Tarmac back roads of Devon thrown in for good measure. It'll be an introduction to trails, with a few pointers on best ways to approach a lane and will be suitable for riders on stock manufacturer tyres.
DATES:
OCCASIONAL DABBLER
This is for people who've ridden a few lanes, not regularly, but who might have a bit more understanding and confidence when it comes to riding on the dirt. You'll still be okay on stock tyres although some off road tyres such as Continentals TKC80s would be of benefit. There will be mud and some ruts.
DATES:

'CAN RIDE A BIT'
This is for people who can ride trails and ride them fairly frequently. You will have off road tyres fitted and you will be able to tackle lanes a little bit more challenging. Again, this isn't hard enduro, this is just more mud, some rock and steeper longer climbs.
DATES:
PLEASE NOTE: FOR ALL CATEGORIES, YOU MUST BE ABLE TO PICK UP YOUR OWN BIKE!
