WHAT IS IT
This is a good old fashioned run to the sun, taking the ferry to France and commencing on a back road adventure all the way down to the stunning Vercors region and beyond, via the Verdon Gorge, all the way to the Med.

It's all on Tarmac and the route designed to avoid any of the major roads and certainly the motorways. This is an assisted ride, in that there will be Speed Shop support riders to help you on your way, but there will be encouragement for people to make their own way along the designated route, stopping when they want to, riding at their own pace and enjoying this laid back ride through the best of France.

HOW IT WORKS
Having crossed the channel we'll begin our ride South. The first few days will be approximately 220 miles per day, with less miles the day we ride the magnificent Verdon Gorge. Then, once we've arrived at the rural retreat - complete with swimming pool and hot tub - we'll have two days to do whatever you fancy. Lounge around by the pool or head off on ride outs to Monte Carlo and along the Mediterranean shoreline, then the next day why not head off and explore one of the highest passes in France; the Col de la Bonnette. We'll be self catering at the lodging, with evening meal options provided by the host and the base serving as a great evening hang out for those who just want to relax and have a holiday.
WHO IS IT FOR?
The trip would suit riders of all abilities, from those who've covered many miles overseas to those who've never ridden on the right hand side of the road at all. You dictate your own pace. Speed limits in France are 50mph, so that any bike capable of that speed is suitable. This trip would be a good way for people to find out what works and doesn't work for them when it comes to motorcycle travelling. You'll gain confidence and make some new riding buddies along the way.
